Not Just Another Day

March 26.

Here's the latest update on the Coronavirus, or COVID-19, here in Tennessee.

I'm sitting here, where I do every morning, making my list for the day of things I need to accomplish. At the beginning of this quarantine, we just binge watched tv and thought it would be over in a few days and things would get back to normal.

Now, Ben's at home and has made a makeshift office in the guest bedroom. His new normal is getting up, showering, and going to work like he's done every day... just feet away instead of miles away. It's kind of nice having him working from home. He's not happy about it though. It's not as quiet here with the dogs barking and the boys running in and out of the house or his room being either too cold or too hot. He wants his normal hours at his normal desk in front of his normal computer in his normal Cracker Barrel Corp Office building. This is a pain for him.

I'm sure it's that way for most everyone.

I'm an introvert. My favorite place to be is at home. Yes I miss getting up and going to my part time job, but staying at home has always made me happy. Just like the rain. I love rainy, dreary days, too. They don't depress me like they do most people. Today, however, I'm grateful for the sun shining and the fact that it's going to be a warm 75 degrees today here in Middle Tennessee.

They're still saying this virus will get worse here in the states before it gets better. It's scary.

My hope is in God, though, and I trust that He has a plan. He knew before this virus became a thing.
Matthew 11: 28-30 says, Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Y'all stay at home like they tell us to. Wash your hands and stay safe. God will deliver us from this.

Joyfully His,
❤️Tracie
