Filipino Chicken Adobo

Most of you know that my husband Ben is from the Philippines. This is one of the first recipes he learned from his mom and cooks it for our family often. It’s savory and tangy and garlicky greatness!

The only difference in this video recipe and Ben’s moms recipe is we don’t use annatto powder at all. Annatto is an orange-red condiment and food coloring derived from the seeds of the achiote tree and adds a yellow or orange color to foods. When used in small amounts, primarily as a food colorant, achiote has no discernable flavor. TheSpruceEats.com
